Natalie recently did a charcoal portrait of my best friends’ mother who had unexpectedly passed away. I needed this portrait to be 100% perfect as it meant a lot to me and I was hoping it would mean a lot to my best friend. Natalie managed to not only capture the physical aspect of her mom but also the light behind her eyes and the essence of her kind and gentle personality which made the portrait come alive. Natalie was lovely to deal with and always asked my opinion as to whether I was happy with her sketch as she moved forward to the final portrait. She also took the time to ask questions in order to get the spirit of the person in the portrait and for that I am very thankful. My best friend now has an amazing portrait of her mother which will hopefully bring her joy through difficult times.
